A Different Way to Think About Love
For Better or Even Better: 7 Lessons on Love and Life from a Non-Monogamist
Part memoir, part relationship guide, this book explores the unexpected lessons my husband and I learned while navigating ethical non-monogamy.
It’s not really a book about swinging. It’s a book about communication, self-expression, and designing relationships on purpose.
Whether you’re curious about ENM or simply want a stronger partnership, these lessons challenge conventional relationship rules and offer a different way forward.
Amazon AI compilation of all text reviews:
“Customers find the book provides invaluable guidance, with profound emotional insights and deeply personal stories. Moreover, the book offers an approachable exploration of relationships, with one customer noting how it beautifully ties into the lessons shared. Additionally, they appreciate its thought-provoking nature and find it engaging and easy to read.”
Considering Ethical Non-Monogamy??
Protect the most important thing: your relationship.
If you’re curious about ethical non-monogamy but feel nervous or unsure, that’s completely normal. Most couples start exactly there. Instead of focusing on fears and unknowns, we focus on what you want to preserve in your relationship and what you want to create together.
There will be questions. Probably more than you expect.
I know, because I’ve been there.
Together we’ll explore the conversations, boundaries, and decisions that help couples move forward with clarity, confidence, and mutual respect.
Because when everyone feels safe and aligned…
it can be mind-blowing.

Check out my podcast, created because I haaaate it when people who don’t know anything about non-monogamy try to portray anything about the non-monogamous community. What started as a reaction podcast to the reality TV show The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, we now discuss where swinging/ENM shows up in main stream media and other shows. Join me, alongside my co-host Ben, an ex-LDS polyamorous friend. Together, we peel back the curtain on how the media portrays ENM.

what is “the lifestyle”
-

Ethical Non-Monogamy
Ethical non-monogamy (ENM) and consensual non-monogamy (CNM) are, for most intents and purposes, the same thing and they are generic terms for participation in romantic relationships that are not completely exclusive between two people (who may or may not be in a committed relationship)…and everyone knows it.
-

The Lifestyle
The Lifestyle is a general term used most by swingers for a community of people (usually couples) that are sexually open with other couples and/or singles. Couples in lifestyle usually consider themselves emotionally monogamous, but are open to sexual experiences with others. Everyone involved knows the arrangement of everyone else.
-

Polyamory
Polyamory differs somewhat in that it is the practice of having or being open to multiple romantic relationships, again, with the knowledge and consent of everyone involved. While polyamory focuses on love, other forms tend to focus more on sex.
The thing to know
ENM, or Lifestyle, can be anything you want it to be as
long as everyone knows about it and everyone is
enthusiastically consenting.
