Lauren Hayes' book is a treasure trove of wisdom about relationships in all their forms. Drawing from her personal journey through non-monogamy, Hayes offers insights that not only illuminate the rich diversity of relationships but also emphasize the profound importance of cultivating a deep connection with oneself. Central to the book is the theme of self-discovery—learning to understand yourself intimately and clarifying your desires.

As a married monogamous woman I've looked at swinging and judged it as a relationship killer or something purely for the kinky. I've internalized jealousy and insecurity as though even a mere conversation would implode my marriage or create  issues that just don't exist. The problem with this, is that I wasn't allowing myself to realize I was choosing blissful ignorance, stunting my personal growth and development and stunting my connection with the person I love most for fear of shaking up something that "wasn't broken."

This book has so wonderfully put into words a possibility for me to choose deeper growth and intensity through a little bit of risk taking and I don't mean in a room full of swingers, I mean as a monogamous woman more empowered to take risks outside my sexual comfort zones with my husband and redefined the time in which I thought it needed to take to get there.

Doing new activities we enjoy with my partner is comfortable and cozy, and it solidifies the friendship. But what I really want, and I wager so do you, is to create intensity.  Intensity requires risk-taking and stepping outside of my comfort zone, exploring things that are a little more on the edge. I define my own edge, and this book has inspired me to start pushing it more than I have been. It is a page turner and easy and very enjoyable to read. I resonated with it, I laughed with it, I even cried with it. Buy the book. You wont regret it.
